Founded in 1895, Aston University. It is a long-established research-led university recognised for its quality of world-class learning and powerful connections with the sector, government and trade. The task of the university is to provide and sustain a sustainable campus that will enhance the student experience. Currently, the university has a student population of over 14,000 (10,000 graduates and over 3,700 graduates) registered from 135 nations worldwide.
Today Aston stands to be one of the top universities with a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Over the years, Aston has gathered many rankings and awards including, No. 1 in the UK for ‘value-added’ (Guardian University Guide 2020). Aston Business School is one of the few business schools worldwide to be triple-accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.
Either as an optional module in your degree, you can choose to study French, German, Spanish, Mandarin or Arabic while you are in Aston. In 2010, Aston University ranked first for quality of life for students, while FHM and Virgin Student ranked it among the country’s most friendly universities.

Student Experience
Ranked in the World Top 100 for international outlook (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020). Aston offers a range of support for international students and has over 90% International Student Satisfaction (National Student Survey, 2019). Free English language support is available, and the Careers and Placements team will guide you on work, placements and internship opportunities during your course. A key feature of Aston’s courses is practical experience.
Aston University is one of the first universities to introduce integrated work placements during university degrees. At the bachelor’s level, this includes opportunities of integrated placement years and work experience in the UK or abroad. You can also study in Aston’s partner universities in the USA, Australia and Germany, as well as many more countries.
Work placements are also available at the master’s level. In Aston Business School, you have the opportunity to do an extended work placement of up to 12 months, including the opportunity to study abroad. In computer science and artificial intelligence courses, you can gain professional practice by completing an internship at the end of your course. You can demonstrate valuable international experience and increase your employability through work experience and study-abroad programs.
